About 3 miles SE of Coldstream. Signposted off A697 and off A1. Follow signs for Ford and Etal.
An 1830 three-storey building
on an ancient site, containing two independent undershot watermills, each with
three pairs of millstones and a pearl barley mill.
One of the mills was restored 40 years ago, and is fully operational, producing
stone-ground flour. There is also a low kiln, and a number of interesting
exhibits as well as activities for children. There is also a tearoom and a shop
selling flour.
Opening times 2017
Daily 25th
March - end October. March 11am-3pm;
April - end September 10.00 -17.00; October 11.00 - 16.00. Also see

Last admission to Mill 30 minutes before closing.
Winter visits by prior arrangement.
