Wheatley Windmill

About 6 miles east of Oxford, off A40, quarter mile west of Wheatley, turn right from Ladder Hill into Windmill Lane.

An octagonal 3-storey stone tower mill, which dates from 1764. The mill used to grind ochre as well as wheat. Privately owned. The mill has now been restored by volunteers and is in working order, with new cap and sails.

Opening times 2016
2nd Sunday in month from May to September, 14.00-18.00, and 9th October, 14.00-17.00. Parties by appointment. (See web site for dates)
