A 3 storey watermill built in 1784-5 as a cotton-spinning mill, with an overshot waterwheel,
subsequently used for flax and wool spinning, later modified as a woodworking mill with two turbines.
Now again in use as a woodworking mill, run by a trust.
Opening times 2018
Closed indefinitely from 5th
February, due to remedial works by the North of
England Civic Trust, who own the building.
