A 4-storey textile mill, built in 1837, with an 1895 Gilkes & Gordon turbine. (Still in situ - but no longer functioning).

A restored Victorian woollen mill, now home to a thriving arts, crafts and heritage centre on the edge of Cumbria & Yorkshire - now the leading venue for textile arts in the North West.

Heritage displays, working looms, regularly changing exhibitions, craft demonstrations, art and craft for sale by resident and visiting artists, workshops and events - plus delicious food in Weavers Cafe.

The mill is run by a charitable trust and there is a small admission fee.

Daily 10.00 -17.00 (café 10.00-17.00).(Closes 16.30 in winter).

National Mills Weekend opening times 2017
Saturday and Sunday, 10.30-17.00.
