Off A6, 1 mile S of Matlock Bath. Take turning towards Cromford Station & Matlock.  Mill is 100yds on L. Car park is beyond mill, on L.

Sir Richard Arkwright began building at Cromford in 1771 and continued to develop the mills until around 1790.
The mills were originally water-powered, and remains of watercourses, etc still exist. 

Opening times
All year round, daily, 9.00-17.00.
(closed Christmas Day).
