Bedgreave New Watermill

At Rother Valley Country Park Centre. Access off A618 near the village of Killamarsh and junction 31 of the M1.

A 3-storey watermill, probably built about 1768. Converted to steam power around 1886, and later to oil engine. Ceased working in 1947. Restored in 1981-2. Much machinery remains, including two pairs of millstones, with iron hoppers, on cast iron hurst, re-installed in the restored building. Electric motor drive not workable at present. Visitor centre and café.

All year except Christmas Day; summer 10.00-18.00, winter 10.00-16.00.
